Best band tours that never happened

A couple of friends and I were on a road trip and one of them came up with the idea putting together bands that for some reason would be funny when put together.

For example, Milli Vanilli should most definitely tour with the Pretenders. Now that you have the hang of it, here are a few more tours featuring two bands only:

Foreigner with Bad English
Marvin Gaye with George Strait
Eric Clapton and Stomp are remaking the “Cheers” theme song.
Poison with the Cure (Virus’s favorite)
Salt ‘N Peppa with the Spice Girls
Wasp and Sting
Fiona Apple and Bananarama would make a fine pear
Tonic and Gin Blossoms
Toto with Kansas (they watch HBO’s “Oz” in the tour bus all the time
Third Eye Blind and Blink (that’s irony, Matt)
Jets and Stone Temple Pilots
Some larger tours…
Saigon Kick, Smashmouth and the Killers in the “Hitman Tour”

Jelly, Pearl Jam, Cracker and Limp Bizkit in the “Possible Breakfast Items Tour”

Korn, Cranberries and Smashing Pumpkins in the “Thanksgiving Tour”

Chicago, Boston, John Denver and Whitney Houston in the “All Across America Tour” They told L.A. Guns no.

The “Popo Tour” features the Police, Warrant, Public Enemy, and Arrested Development

In the “Cause/Effect Tour,” we have Fat Boys, Run DMC, Weezer, and Air Supply

Although rumor has it that Weezer wants to jump ship and join Puff Daddy, Smokey Robinson, and the Doobie Brothers in the “Roll ‘Em Up Tour”

The Corrs, Stever MILLER band and Bush are playing in the “Keg Tour” with possibly Everclear and Lincoln Brewster joining them later

Johnny Cash, Eddie Money and 50 Cent ham it up in the “Keep the Change Tour.” Nickelback has been told no, dime it.

The “Feline Tour” features the Bangles, Def Leppard and John Cougar Mellancamp. In a crazy night of entertainment, they’ll be performing after “Cats” at the Civic Center next weekend.

The “Chess Club Tour” features Outkast, the American Rejects, and the Who. No offense chess players, I love it, too.

Genesis, Eve, and Bryan Adams team up with Billy JOEL and Tor AMOS in the “Old Testament Tour”

Savage Garden is playing with the Black-eyed Peas with Carrot Top opening in the….something tour.

In the “Medieval Warriors Tour,” Brittany Spears, David Bowie and Aerosmith hit the road with Gladys Knight.

In the “Pre-Medieval Tour,” Men at Work and Rolling Stones sweep the nation.

Michelle Branch, Tree 63, and Styx jam in the “Save the Earth Tour”

“Home Improvement Tour” features Hammer, Nine Inch Nails, and Tool.

Here’s a huge tour: Vince Gill, Hootie and the Blowfish, and Waterdeep, Billy Ocean and the Blue Oyster Cult in the “Depths of the Sea Tour.” Look out for Great White and Moby to possibly join them on the East Coast.

And my personal favorite…

The “Men’s Room Tour” with Elton John, Kenny Loggins, Meatloaf, and 12 Stones. And you know that Skid Row will be there, too.

Looking foward to any additions you might have.
