Weekly Update
Monday worked at OCOM (the soup kitchen we support). Spent most of the day navigating details for Wednesday’s Christmas party and Sunday’s service.
Tuesday picked up trailer – loaded up donations for free store – our group of 5 made over 100 trips up the three flight of stairs in the high school.
Tuesday night went to
Pella and celebrated my nephew Emmett’s birthday. Spent the night in
Pella.
Wednesday tucked away and studied in the morning. Afternoon meetings.
Wednesday night OCOM Christmas Party. With the help of friends gave away some sweet toys to some kids and served up an awesome meal.
Thursday got myself a Christmas hair cut, met with a couple people from the Bridge, finalized Sunday details.
Friday worked at OCOM. Put together Christmas presents for the Bridge Core Team.
Friday night – Toby got sick. He also broke a window trying to vacuum.
Saturday I didn’t feel well and ended taking a long nap. Put some final thoughts together for Sunday morning.
Sunday – Woke up and found out that snow would be keeping our sound guy, set up team, nursery staff, and key volunteers from showing up. The message for picking up our communion supplies didn’t get through. I was able to set up our sound by myself in just under an hour. For not being a sound person I was quite proud of myself. The crowd was sparse compared to most Sundays but it was a great morning. Better then great!
